Suggestions (ah I found the List. I tried to stick to only three people over 20 (one for Kawada who of course is supposed to be a little bit older) and mainly because they look younger. I also can't really find any other good Asian American actors that are the right age other then Bee Vang from Gran Torino). I'm adding pictures too.

Yoshio: Kyle Sullivan. After having seen him star in Malcolm in the Middle, I got hooked and he's only 20 years old. He is chubby but not over the top chubby that it's going to be the stereotypical 'fat character'. I hope they give him as much screentime as in the manga though because that was the only version that actually added something for his character. He also has a bit of a dorky-yet-kind look!

Keita: Jared Kusnitz, I think he's 20 or soomething so he has a relatively right age (considering in so many movies they cast actors who are ten years older then the age they should be playing) plus he played a goofy character in Dance of the Dead, where he showed to pull off the more intense stuff but still with some comedy. I think they'd probably use the movie Keita who was a big goofball so it would work.

Tatsumichi: Taylor Lautner. Everyone is crazy about him and so I want to put in a toy-with-the audience thing. All the tweengirls will go crazy when seeing his name on the list which will make it hilarious if he only gets a 2 minute scene and an early demise.

Toshinori: Jesse James (from The Amityville Horror remake and Butterfly Effect, that one. The 19-year-old one.). I remember the first time I watched the Butterfly Effect and I got the creeps from how good he acted as the tough-but-hurt guy. I think he would pull off the funny and incredibly snobbish Toshiniori well. He lost some weight in the past few years by the way but can't find a good recent picture. He however pulls off playing a bad guy, watch The Butterfly Effect.

Shogo: Michael Obiora or Elijah Kelly. Somehow, I just know they'd make Shogo a black guy and then let them at least cast someone who can act and doesn't have balloon-sized muscles. (manga... *cringes*) Elijah Kelley was great in Take the Lead as the more funny guy and played a typical good guy and more 'savior-ish' in Hairspray so he would do well. Michael Obiora was awesome as Ben in Hotel Babylon, he played the typical gay guy well but with new twists and there's an episode where a celeb staying in the hotel used to be a friend of his who dropped him once they kissed by accident and then was all anti-gay-ish and the confrontation was amazing.

Kazuo: Okay pleaaase don't flame me but I think that Cameron Bright is a very talented child actor, he's 15/16 right now and he already showed to have this more creepy kind of character look in Running Scared. He might look a bit too 'dorkish' for Kiriyama but at least he can act. Not that there's that much you need to do for Kiriyama but I think he would pull it off for the creepy stare he can have. Let him grow his hair and he'll pull it off.

Ryuhei: I'm going to add a Latino character to this, Junio Valverde. He played as a cute kid in The Devil's Backbone but he apparently is now as a grown-up starring in a Spanish horror movie as well so that means he must be good. I saw some pictures and he's definitely good looking but still has something that would work as a shy guy. He'll just somehow has to learn English.

Hiroki: Rory Culkin, he starred in Mean Creak and talented kid actor. He's all grown up now, 19 years old, and he still has an innocent look but the long hair and the broad body, look:

Yutaka: I first had Jake Goldsbie in mind but he's just too old. My back-up choice is Daryl Sabara, yep, once again a kiddie actor.

Shou: First of all I really hope they'll give him the stalking/collar death scene and second, I'm going to put in an Asian actor after all and it'll be Yusuke Yamamoto. He played the sort of psychic aura-seeing, in-your-face character on Hana Kimi but with a certain comedy side to it so he would be amazing. But yeah, we need the actors to be native English probably -___- then I have no idea.

Shuya: Switched Malcom David Kelley and Alex Neuberger at the last moment. I think Alex would carry this role well, he played a very serious role in Running Scared with Cameron Bright (so the two are used to act against each other, see Kiriyama for Cameron) and he pulled it off very well. He also has a bit of comedic sides too so I'm picking him for the main guy. Also, Malcolm I think is a bit too much of a big star and I prefer a slightly less well-known actor for the lead. If the big actors die early/earlier, it gives more of a 'anyone can live' feeling for the audience.

Kazushi: Malcolm David Kelley, a talented child actor (starred on Lost but also guest starred in other shows such as Saving Grace and I think Judging Amy too) so of course I'm including him.

Mitsuru: Christoph Sanders. I've learned to love this guy in Ghost Whisperer and apparently he's all grown up now! His acting in GW is great and I think he would do some inner struggling well (if they decide to this time give the gang some more screentime then just the shoot shoot shoot scene).

Tadakatsu: Haruma Miura and please give him the manga scene instead of just an offscreen death. But once again, the guy needs to learn English first.

Shinji: Changed this to Justin Berfield from Malcolm in the Middle. He just has the look even though he's a few years too old (22) but he has a young face so maybe it might still work.

Kyoichi: Craig Lamar Traylor. I loved him as Stevie in Malcolm in the Middle and he in real life wears glasses like him. He also has the more slim-built and I think it would be fun to have a black class representative character who isn't like in so many movies as the stereotypical black guy going to be all badass.

Kazuhiko: Dan Curtis Lee, he played a really goofy role in Ned's Declassified and maybe he would be cool for this one too.

Mizuho: Emily Osment, she has this 'strange' look. Now I just hope they pick the roleplaying Mizuho.

Yukie: Evanna Lynch, her acting is really good and she has this certain look that just glues you to the screen. Not to mention she's cute looking and the right age. I want her to have a more bigger role.

Megumi: Christina Schmidt, I think she is a very talented actress and I like to have more then just one overweight girl character. She pulls off the naive girl very well. She's maybe a little too old (21) and if so then my backup for her is Carrie Finklea even though it's only one year difference

Sakura: Sophie Wu, she starred in Hotel Babylon and I think she's very good.

Izumi: Kristen Stewart or someone big which will piss off the audience that the big star goes fast.

Yukiko: Daniella Monet, she looks very good and is pretty good at acting too. She would pull off the cute, innocent girl.

Yumiko: Karle Warren, after Judging Amy she didn't have any jobs anymore and she's really talented for a young girl so I want her in.

Kayoko: I found this actress who is 20 called Dani Miura. Maybe she fits?

Yuko: Madilyn Sweeten, after Everyone Loves Raymond she hasn't been in anything yet but she's very good for a young girl! I want to see her inner struggles with having accidentally killed five of her friends.

Hirono: Paula Brancati, she has the sassy attitude and her char on Degrassi has this more punk/goth look and she still can act really well and show very real emotion so if they go with the confronting movie Hirono mixed with her ending up in the well that would be great. My first choice was Deanna Casaluce but she's maybe too old.

Mitsuko: Cassie Steele, she's hot, talented (I hate Manny in Degrassi so she must be doing something well since it's really the character and not the storylines I hate about her) and well... right age and did I mention she's hot? I think that's good enough for Mitsuko. (pics in the post above)

Haruka: Mihola Teriz, she's 20 and starred in a really so-bad-its-good slasher and well, I like her. Somehow she worked in that movie and she played a pretty gutsy-yet-emotional character in that one so maybe she's good for Haruka if we cut her hair off a little?

Takako: Kelly Vitz, she played a pretty cool rich snobby character in Simon Says and on this pic, she has the certain 'angry Takako' look. I think she'd fit.

Mayumi: Selena Gomez, it'll be fun to see everyone go apesh-t about that a famous girl gets such a small character.

Noriko: Saoirse Ronan, she's talented, the right age, looks not too cute/hot/amazing and so makes it more plausible for her to be a more final girl character and to relate to. Did I mention she's talented and would be able to lead a movie?

Yuka: Hasifa Herzi, she starred in a French movie but she's very good and looks pretty but still is a bit overweight. I think that if she's given more then just the 'eat the soup and die' part like in the movie she'd make a very good impression. Also I like to add more racial diversity so that's why a Muslim-ish character. She needs to learn English though. Also, she's a little bit too old maybe. My back-up is the one year younger Kallie Flynn Childress

Fumiyo: Kristen Stewart/Miley Cyrus/Selena Gomez/Any f-cking big star who will fit the 'Dead Star Walking' thing well.

Kaori: Chelsea/Brittney Coyle, those twin girls are pretty talented (they played in the opening scene in Dark Ride which was also the best scene in the full movie XD)

Yoshimi: Melinda Shankar, again to vary up races and all. I originally hated her in Degrassi as another plastic bitchy girl but after having seen episode 818 it completely changed my mind about her and it turns out she can play the vulnerable, sweet girl very well. I definitely see similarities with Yoshimi and the character she plays on Degrassi, Alli, so it would work.

Anddd sorry for not including pics for all of them but I'm getting tired of all the looking up.
