Edit - changed topic title and made it sticky--this is a new catchall for all the interesting/special BR-related auctions on eBay or Yahoo! Japan. What makes an auction interesting? Well, mainly if it's a rare or unusual item, which may differ depending on which auction service you're watching (e.g. the Ai Maeda photobook on Y!JA probably wouldn't be worth a mention, but the same item on eBay would be)..

Note that most Yahoo! Japan auctions will not sell or ship to overseas customers. If you really want something from there, you will have to go through a third-party auction service who will bid for you, receive the item for you at their Japanese location, and ship them to you, all for a pretty hefty sum. I recently won an auction for the BR photo book "The Unusual Summer Vacation," and a $26 winning bid became a $76 total transaction (see this thread).
