I am just in the process of bidding on those books, as well as a poster. Hopefully things work out, I will report back when the auctions are over.
Also, if anyone ever comes across a Miyuki Kanbe photobook on ebay, could you please let me know here. I believe she has two photobooks, one called "I Am
Rainbow", the other "Navi". Thanks!

When I checked eBay I couldn't find anything. However, on Yahoo!
オークション many of
the books are available. Also the I am Rainbow photobook is being sold on Amazon.co.jp.
I will definitely have to sign up on the amazon japan site. I use amazon.com and .ca all the time, so it should not be too difficult to use the .jp one as
well.
I may also venture into the world of Yahoo auctions at some point. Do people happen to have any recommendations as to what sites/services are good for
acquiring things from yahoo japan auctions?

A BR poster was the last on my "to buy" memorabilia/merchandise list mostly b/c either a, I couldn't find a poster I liked (I find the readily
available UK quad to be boring) or b, the original Japanese ones are rare and always go for typically astronomical (by my budget) sums. In the end I settled on
the Thai BRII poster as I liked the art work and found the price to be more than fair ($20.00 w/ shipping from Thailand).
It's 20 x 30 and I had it professional framed -- which cost me an additional $50.00. A bit pricey but it I think it makes it, the poster, look alot better
than just sticking it into one of those cheeky plastic Wal-mart type frames.
OF COURSE -- no soon after I did all of this did I notice this "buy it now" poster on ebay:
Which is the original Japanese release and the one I initially was trying to go after -- I think the BRII posters tend to look a little cooler than the ones
for the first movie.
*dejected sigh*
Oh, well. The Shuya version I have will more than suffice I just wish it didn't have all that extra Thai writing on it. (It kinda junks it up IMO) Too
much clutter.
Anyway, just thought I'd share that. Hope you win (and like) your poster.
Being quite happy about my recent success with ebay, I just wanted to put it out there that I won the auction for the pair of guidebooks, as well as the
poster. Excellent prices for the items (10 bucks for the books + S/H, and 12 bucks for the poster + S/H, so around 40 bucks in total for everything) so now
it's just a matter of waiting for things to arrive. :0
^Speaking of posters, seeing yours along with that nifty framing job has inspired me to most likely create a custom frame for my poster when it arrives. I am
quite excited as it is suppose to measure in at 47x64 inches, which is pretty impressive IMO. Should be fun busting out the old router and paint to make up a
stylin' frame.
I'll be sure to post some pics at some point.
Hmm, now if only I could resist buying things off of ebay for a little while....
...doesn't seem very likely

Even though my BRII guidebooks and poster have yet to arrive, I am already back looking at stuff on ebay.
I found myself saying just a couple of days ago that I would like to pick up the "Unusual Summer Vacation" guidebook if it ever became available, and
to my surprise one has popped up on ebay.
I'm still contemplating whether I will bid for it or not. I've told myself that I will not buy anything else off of ebay for a while, but this is
another one of those opportunities that I would regret if I passed up. If it keeps up unnoticed for a couple more days I may bid on it though, as it is
currently a very reasonable price.
Anyways, I'll report back once I have made a decision on this book, as well as when my other merchandise arrives.

Wow, so what I need to do is become a resident of Japan within the next 4-ish days so that I can get a hold of one of those. Very reasonable prices IMO as
well. I'd be happy to pay $50-200+ dollars for an autographed Miyuki Kanbe photobook if she was still alive, so considering those prices and she is no
longer even with us seems like an incredible deal. Or maybe I'm just crazy...
(Well, I AM crazy, but that doesn't stop the fact that I need to devise a plan to get one of those photobooks and fast)

I've been meaning to ask about this again for a little while -
I'm interested in getting some things off the Yahoo Japan Auctions, and I'm wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what "middle man"
sites are good. (note, I plan on using paypal for purchases)
Thanks for your help!

Roger that, thank you. I had come across rinkya before, but after looking at some other sites, it seems that will be the best to go with. Once I move into res.
tomorrow and get my mail box going, I'll have to order some stuff. I'm thinking some BR merchandise as well as some All About Lily Chou-Chou stuff.
Should be fun : ) Thanks again.
