23. I'm starting to get a little frustrated because I haven't had any luck finding a personal tutor for the language. Pretty much everyone has told me to make any real progress you need one-on-one speaking help so it's got me a little disencouraged on the whole thing.
i am also discouraged about learning japanese. to me it is almost impossible to learn without anybody's help. the thing that messes me up the most is when to use particles (AAAA and etc..) and lots of other problems.
Ive been learning Japanese for a month or so and would love some free software to use at home, as i cant afford to purchase anything. Do i get these things off Kazaa or off some site? Thanx for the help! Arigato gozaimasu!
I know you guys probably don't like these types of questions, for one because there so damn open ended and depend on sooooo many different scenarios. But how long do you guys think it would take one to learn to speak and write in the Japanese lanquage? Considering I live close to a big city with lots of immigrants from Japan (Pittsburgh). And with lots of time on my hands to learn.
Well I wrote this in another thread but just in case I had to post it here:
I forgot to mention when I do my presentation, I have to do it in Japanese so I have plenty of questions. First off, is Koushun Takami's name written in proper Japanese order with family name first, or is it the opposite like they do it here in America or in English.
Second, how do they say the program in Japanese? Do they write the program in katakana. Also I want to know other stuff like how to say the reward Takami won with battle royale.
Koushun Takami is in the Western order. If you want the Japanese order, it's Takami Koushun.
There are a bunch of ways to say 'program' in Japanese, depends what you want it. Program as in project, TV program, ect. The BR one is vO [puroguramu], I think.
I know what you mean, I have the same CD's and they are not always clear. I would highly recommend that you llaern the Japanese Katakana because it will help you sound out words you can understand. It's very easy to learn how to pronounce. Here is a good site to learn online: www.yesjapan.com/
You can also install the Microsoft Japanese language pack that will allow you to actually type Katakana into MS Messenger and it will auto complete and convert Katakana into Hiragana and Kanji. Here is the link.
hi..... whats this thing thing that your all downloading. where you get it. oh ya i'm new here so please excuse me for asking...the question that you probable answer daly.......
Yes, u can get cds + dvds for learning japanese, just read above, the best audio software for learning japanese is pimsleurs learn japanese, which teaches you basic and abit advanced japanese, enough to hold a convo with a japanese person. There are 3 lvls for this audio program and they give you a hell of a good start for learning japanese, i suggest u try if u wanna get started learning. They cost a shitload of money to purchase mind, but there are other ways of getting them which i won't go into. So yeah if u wanna learn japanese get this, it will help, i myself have used them and they have helped me with my pronoucation massively, but as i state again they are no subsitute for the real face to face convo or teaching, but this will give u the starting steps to learning japanese.
What is keigo? I read on the Battle Royale Wikipedia page that the subtitles couldn't convey the meaning of keigo accurately in the lighthouse scene. What
does it mean? Can someone provide something that apparently does tell the real meaning of some of the dialogue? Can someone help?
