Mizhuo Inada carried on her way, thinking of her friends more then anything else.
I have to find them; I cannot vanquish all the demons all alone. She came to an ornamental flower garden and there, kneeling at prayer in the silver moonlight, she saw Megumi Eto. She smiled and her eyes lit up at the sight, and she quietly walked up to her. Another Holy Warrior is here to help me in the Crusade against the infernal demons from Hell. I must be careful not to shock her, in case she lashes out by mistake. When she was six feet away from Megumi, she said quietly "Megumi…it's me, Prexia Dikianne Mizhuo."
Megumi turned around and snatched up her pickaxe, and stared at Mizhuo for a few seconds, then charged at her silently. She brought it down and Mizhuo leapt back just in time to avoid having the pickaxe driven though her skull. Again she swiped with it and Mizhuo barely managed to fend it off with her knife. This time Megumi let out a scream that sounded totally unlike her. "I WON'T LET YOU KILL ME!" Mizhuo was shocked. "I will do nothing of the kind, you are a fellow warrior." "DON'T LIE!," Megumi screamed. "I know you want to live. Didn't you hear-only one survives. And it'll be me….ME!"
She swiped at Mizhuo again, missed and her pickaxe stuck deep into a tree. Rather then seizing the moment and trying to stab Megumi to death Mizhuo backed away.
Has a demon seized her soul? Is it only the possessed body of Megumi that stands in front of me? I can't kill her, I can't kill my friend if there is a chance that it is still her."Megumi Eto, it's me, Mizhuo Inada, one of your friends. How can I prove to you that I'm not trying to murder you? We have to stick together, there are enough of the demons out there trying to kill us as it is. And please be quiet unless you want to summon every nearby demon to our location."
Megumi ignored Mizhuo and pulled as hard as she could at the pickaxe, which came loose only for her to fall over. The pickaxe ripped through her dress, just missing her leg but pinning her to the ground. Mizhuo ran up to her…and pulled the pickaxe out, freeing her and helping her to her feet, having put her knife in a pocket. "Megumi, what has got into you?"
Megumi looked as if she was about to cry. "M…Mizhuo, I'm so sorry…" And she turned and ran away. Mizhuo let her go and then walked in the other direction with the pickaxe in her hands. In her mind it became a fearsome battle-axe. There is no point in following her now as she is most likely lost to the darkness. Has Kaori gone the same way? O Great Ahura Mazda, am I fated to be all alone in this pit of hell?
