Oh God I was in tears during so many scenes.

The classroom scene first. I don't know why but it made me choke up especially with seeing every student's respond to the news and Nobu's and Fumiyo's deaths (in the background, it's visible. For instance, Kazuhiko is standing the whole time and Yukie's shocked face when Fumiyo falls flat onto her desk dead just made me feel so sorry for her) and of course the leaving. I wanted to hug Yoshio when he had to leave and Kamon was making fun of him.

Yoshio's scene didn't make me cry but I felt horrible for him and kept on hoping he'd get away and then bam Evil Niida comes out (man the manga messed him up -__-)

Sakura & Kaz' suicide. They knew so much about each other and I loved how Sakura told him he didn't have to go along with her and he responded by throwing his gun down the cliff. Then I felt sorry for Sakura when we saw her in a flashback about a regular teen girl thing: wanting to be interesting for her boyfriend. Kaz remembering the purse and then Sakura having brought it onto the trip, it all added to the scene and with Yukie and Haruka coming in just too late to even yell 'stop, wait' or whatever got me as well.

Yoshimi and Yoji. Their manga versions were by far the best and most developed and I loved how Yoshimi trusted in Yoji's tantrums being 'a pattern' and she didn't even seem scared when he wanted to kill her. The touch with a male's ego being ruined in the flashback added to Yoji's character and well... I was upset he didn't even get to finish his sentence, however, I had hoped for Yoshimi to put up a bit more of a fight with Mitsuko in anger of having seen her boyfriend gotten killed. I think in the novel, she has a very brief struggle.

Takako. This was the first moment that really had me brawling. I hated the hip, cool style of talking in the novel and movie, no, the manga worked much better in her death scene. The flashbacks shown making her strong enough to not give in to Niida beating her up and about to rape her made me like her a lot and well, it takes guts to tell someone you love he should leave you alone and go for the one they really like. She clearly wanted him to be around her when dying but she didn't want to endanger Hiroki by being out in the open or slow him down either. I was really in tears and when Hiroki was just saying 'Taka, hey, Taka?' just topped it.

Keita's big moment. I don't know but I loved how they made the awesome Shinji into a bit of an antagonist for a moment, he clearly wanted to leave someone out to rot just because of a stupid grudge and I LOVED it, it added so much more to his character, to Keita's (his despair of just not wanting to be alone anymore just made me cringe) and Yutaka's (the full 'we felt like accessories' scene).

Yutaka standing up to Shinji. I don't know but I was crying the hardest when this scene happened. I don't even know what exactly made me so sad but probably because it portrayed him so well. He admired Shinji beyond belief but at the same time, it showed he was a bit jealous of him and the inferiority complex being triggered even more when around him... and then Shinji turning around and giving him the gun and such... god. I wasn't bothered by Kiriyama by then but that scene made me hate him.

The whole lighthouse scene and how guilty Yuko felt. Yukie yelling at Satomi 'is this what you wanted' after Chisato is spread out, dead, the beginning with seeing some actual personality from everyone including Yuka and how it seemed like there was some actual hope, it all adds to how good it was. And yeah, Shuya mentioning all of them of how they were at school added to the scene for me as well.
